BSc., MSc: Role; Graduate Student (Ph.D. Candidate)
Diana completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. She then went ahead to do her Master’s degree in Biochemistry and her thesis was on “The production of omega-3 fatty acids from microalgae.” After her Master’s degree, she moved back to Uganda where she was a lecturer and analyst (Gas chromatography-FID and Mass spectrometry) at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono, and Kyambogo Universty. She has worked as a research assistant at the Uganda Cancer research institute (now Fred Hutchinson-Uganda cancer research institute) under the supervision of Dr. Jackson Oryem and Dr. Abrahams.
